5 Day Course
This advanced version of the aerial rigging course covers the removal of sections from a tree crown under the control of rope rigging and lifting equipment when free-fall/hand thrown techniques are not appropriate. The first 2 days are covering the content for NPTC assessment 309 (CS41) and then a further 2 days are included to look into a variety of alternative rigging techniques such as speed lining, drift lines and double lashing. Successful candidates will achieve the necessary certification to use rigging equipment to dismantle a tree, and an understanding of many other rigging systems that can be used in the process of lowering of tree sections. Candidates must already hold their NPTC CS30 Chainsaw Maintenance & Cross Cutting, CS31 Felling Up To 380mm, CS38 Tree Climbing & Aerial Rescue and CS39 Aerial Tree Cutting certifications to attend this course.

Who is the course for?
This course is relevant for tree surgeons and arborists who are familiar with aerial tree work with a chainsaw and wish to expand their expertise by understanding the use of rigging equipment. This advanced version of the course is also suitable for candidates who already have already gained rigging experience, and would like to further develop their skills in advanced rigging techniques.
