Refresher 1 Day Course
Course description
Keep your skills up to date by attending the refresher course for the maintenance and operation of a chainsaw. Ensure you are aware of the latest legislation and Heath & Safety changes and keep your technique and knowledge current. This 1 day will be both theory and practical covering maintenance, cross-cutting plus handling and stacking timber. You will receive a refresher certificate detailing the content covered.

Equipment requirements
- PPE: Type C chainsaw trousers, hard hat with ear & eye protection, gloves and steel toe-cap boots with chainsaw protection
- Rear handled chainsaw with up-to 15” bar
- Fuel & oil
- Maintenance kit
- Filing kit suitable to users chainsaw
Why Do I need to Refresh?
It is important to keep your skills relevant and your knowledge current. NPTC recommend refreshing your certificate every 5 years to ensure your competency and many companies will insist you have attended a refresher course.

Prerequisites
- Candidates must hold a valid NPTC Level 2 20-03 (CS30) Chainsaw Maintenance & Cross-cutting certificate
Equipment requirements

Please ensure all equipment is PUWER compliant and PPE is in good condition. Equipment is available for hire if candidates do not yet have their own. Please contact the office for cost.
