Covid-19 Assessment Procedures for Candidates
Assessments taking place during the COVID-19 Pandemic
For City & Guilds NPTC assessments taking place during the COVID-19 pandemic, it is essential that all current government restrictions and guidance are observed – this includes the social distancing requirement.
Please be aware of these procedures when attending our City & Guilds NPTC assessments:
The assessor and candidates should keep 2 metres apart where possible.
If equipment is shared between candidates this should be disinfected between candidate assessments.
Additional time may be required to conduct the assessments.
All candidates will be required to declare that they have not interacted with anyone who has gone on to show symptoms of COVID-19 in the last 14 days, and that they have not had any symptoms of COVID-19 in the last 48 hours.
Assessors will declare to the candidate that they have not interacted with anyone who has gone on to show symptoms of COVID-19 in the last 14 days, and that they have not had any symptoms of COVID-19 in the last 48 hours.
All assessment paperwork will be completed in the normal manner including comments and signatures, however:
Both the candidate and assessor must wear suitable protective gloves when completing assessment paperwork.
They must not share writing equipment.
Hand sanitizer must be used following any transfer of paperwork.
For the CS38 tree climbing & aerial rescue course, due to the close proximity of using another person for the aerial rescue, there will be a casualty simulation, in the form of a dummy, manakin or other item representative of the size and weight of a person.
All procedures have been put in place to deliver a safe activity on behalf of Ground Up Training and City & Guilds.
