Here you will find our range of machinery training. Machinery equipment such as powered pole pruners and brush-cutters are used within various industries, not only within tree surgery but also landscape gardening, and grounds maintenance. Ground Up Training provides machinery training for many leading golf courses across the south of England. When using a powered pole pruner or brush-cutter you are required under PUWER to have gained a recognised certificate of competence. Our 1 day courses are an integrated course. Integrated (ITA) means your instructor can deem you fit at the end of the day without the use of an Independent assessor. ITA is an excellent way of becoming training and qualified in your chosen area.
Stump Grinder and Manually Fed Wood-Chipper are also ITA units. Using wood-chippers is an essential part of tree surgery. Gaining your wood-chipper training is a great start in your career in arboriculture. Most jobs require the use of a wood-chipper, we invite you to begin your machinery training here and learn how to maintain and operate the wood-chipper. Stump Grinding is a crucial element of tree work. Once a tree has been removed the remaining stump must be removed with the use of a stump grinder. On a ITA Stump Grinder course you will learn how to maintain the stump grinder and how to safely operate the machine.
